In the past two years, His Excellency, Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration has made significant strides in transforming Kano State, from security to road infrastructure, education, and empowerment etc. The government has achieved notable milestones in every area of human endeavors.

Gov. Abba’s focus on improving the lives of ordinary citizens is evident in his people-centric policies. His efforts have yielded needed results, making Kano a better place for its citizens.

The governor’s decision to leave the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) has sparked debate. However, this move should be seen as a pragmatic response to the current political reality in the present political landscape, rather than a conflict with his boss, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. And on the issue of his defection, the governor didn’t have many options due to the factionalization of NNPP, which put his chances of a second term at risk, as seen in Osun and Ekiti States.

As Kano continues to evolve, Gov. Abba is so passionate and remains committed to delivering results. His administration’s progress is a testament to his dedication to the people of Kano. Under the governor, the state has enjoyed adequate stability in terms of security compared to other states in the northwest and the country in general. Gov. Abba had invested heavily in security apparatus like no other before.

And in the wisdom of the governor, he has finally brought all the warring factions under one umbrella, which will give the state sound footings for peace and development.

While challenges persist, the governor’s vision and determination are driving positive change in the state. Kano’s transformation is ongoing, and with Governor Abba at the helm, the future looks promising. His government’s efforts will likely yield more results, cementing Kano’s position as a thriving hub in Nigeria.
