Kogi Senator Admonishes Youth on PVC, Tasks Leaders on Selfless Service

A senator representing Kogi East, Senator Jibrin Isah has tasked the youth and people of Kogi State to prioritize their voters’ card as their strongest power to decide who represents them in 2023.

The (APC) senator representing Kogi East, Jibrin Isah a.k.a Echocho gave the charge during the just concluded 2- Day Annual Italo Igala Festival at Anyigba, Kogi State.

Sen. Isah said, “If we politicians give money to you electorates to support us, they will say, we lure you. Try and collect your Personal Voter’s Card (PVC) at the nearest registration centre or wards to vote for your choice in February, 2023”.

“Your PVC is your right, your voice, and your only power to decide who represents you or govern you at any level of government in democracy and in 2023 general elections”.

The senator who has embarked on priority projects in several local government areas in Kogi East some of which are on going, challenged politicians in Igala Kingdom to seek power for purpose of rendering selfless services to the people.

“When you are coming to power at any level in government, you are coming to serve your people, you are not coming to enrich yourself but to help your people because at the end of the day, God will ask you, the power I gave you, how have you used it to help others?” That is my principle, and that is what I expect others to imbibe with”.

Sen. Echocho applauded the Igala monarch and Chairman, Kogi State Council of Chiefs, HRM, Mathew Alaji Opaluwa (Oguche Akpa 11) for successful hosting of 2022 Italo Igala Festival.

In the same vain, the Ejeh of Dekina, HRH, Usman Obaje commended the Atah Igala, HRM (Dr) Mathew Alaji Opaluwa, for his prompt action in organising the 2022 Italo Igala Festival in just two month’s he gave the royal directive for it’s colorful conduct.

“Okaitoto, Okaitoto, the Unity, Blessings, Peace and Love you have brought to us, is fundamental to the development and prosperity of Igala land and it shall be sustained”

While raining the usual traditional powerful greating on Gabaidu, the Igala monarch, the Ejeh of Dekina assured Gabaidu of a more crowd pooling Italo in the proceeding years a head.
