The wedding reception of Ndachana John Yahi and David Nkeki Bukar turned into a remarkable display of culture, unity, and communal honour as prominent traditional rulers, led by His Royal Majesty Williams Ezugwu, graced the colourful ceremony in Abuja.

The royal father, widely respected across the South East for his leadership and cultural influence, attended the reception in honour of the bride’s father, who is his longtime neighbour, and the newly married couple. His presence drew admiration from guests and added a unique touch of royalty and tradition to the celebration.

HRM Eze-Igwe Ezugwu, who also bears the titles of Eze Ogbozarra III of Opi Ancient Kingdom, Igwe of Ibagwa Opi, and Eze Ka Eze I of Ideke Land in Nsukka Local Government Area, arrived at the venue in majestic traditional attire, receiving warm applause and respectful greetings from attendees.

The reception followed a solemn church wedding earlier in the day and attracted relatives, associates, and well-wishers from different parts of the country. However, the attendance of the traditional rulers became one of the major highlights of the occasion, symbolising the enduring importance of cultural heritage, neighbourliness, and social solidarity.

Speaking during the reception, the monarch offered prayers and blessings for the newlyweds, expressing hope that their union would flourish in peace, love, and prosperity. He also praised both families for sustaining cherished cultural and moral values through the marriage ceremony.

Guests at the event described the royal visit as deeply symbolic, noting that it reflected the strong human relationships that continue to bind communities together regardless of distance or status.

The reception, held at the Rainbow Event Marquee, featured vibrant music, cultural displays, dancing, and goodwill messages as friends and family celebrated the couple in a joyful atmosphere.
