In a bold stride toward reshaping societal narratives around women aged 40 and above, Ambassador Jolly Nnenna Abani, CEO of Mother of Models International and creator of the reality TV show 40andFabulousNaija, has called for increased support from sponsors, partners, and broadcasters as preparations for the show’s third season gain momentum.

Addressing journalists at a press conference in Abuja, Abani emphasized that the show transcends entertainment. She described it as a movement rooted in education, healing, and empowerment—designed to reposition mature women in society and offer them a renewed sense of purpose. “40andFabulousNaija is not just a show, it is therapy, empowerment, and a second chance for women who need healing to become whole again,” she stated.

Operating also as a non-governmental organization, the initiative extends its impact beyond the screen by offering training and empowerment opportunities to women, children, and the elderly across various communities. Abani underscored the show’s mission to challenge entrenched stereotypes that marginalize women over 40, including single mothers, divorcees, widows, and survivors of abuse.

Despite the success of its first two seasons, the programme has struggled to secure airtime on major platforms. Abani expressed frustration over the lack of equitable broadcasting arrangements, clarifying that the team is not seeking free exposure but rather fair commercial terms that would allow the show to reach its intended audience.

Season 3 promises a dynamic format, introducing male participants who will join the women on weekends to network, celebrate, and promote their businesses. Auditions are currently underway, with interested individuals encouraged to text 40 to 205 for participation details.

Abani also urged the public to engage with the show’s digital presence by subscribing to its YouTube channel, @40andFabulousNaija, where viewers can access exclusive content and vote for their favorite housemates.

In a passionate appeal, she questioned the dominance of harmful media content and advocated for family-oriented programming that fosters healing and societal growth. “Strong women build strong nations,” she declared. “We bring something different—content that can heal families and make society better.”

With high hopes for the upcoming season, Abani expressed confidence that 40andFabulousNaija is poised for a breakthrough. “Anticipate a season filled with hope, progress, and greatness,” she concluded.
