A groundbreaking technical workshop on Primary Health Care (PHC) revitalization and operationalization has commenced in Abuja, Nigeria, marking a significant milestone in the country’s healthcare sector. The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) is partnering with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to host this high-level stakeholder engagement at the Presidential Villa.

The workshop, led by ALGON National President, Hon. Aminu Mu’azu Maifata, brings together a formidable delegation of local government representatives, including NEC members, heads of medical departments, and council representatives.

The event has attracted an impressive array of dignitaries who are expected to participate, including Ministers, the Special Adviser to the President on Health, the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, and key stakeholders from the WHO, NDDC, and the National Assembly.
