The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has flagged off the enumeration exercise for the FarmerMoni component of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) in the North Central Zone, unveiling the FarmerMoni G2P Card for direct and secure disbursement to verified smallholder farmers.

The exercise, according to NSIPA, marks the formal commencement of on-the-ground enumeration across states in the North Central Zone under the Renewed Hope GEEP 3.0.

The National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer of NSIPA, Dr. Badamasi Lawal, who flagged off the exercise, described the development as “a defining moment in the rollout of Renewed Hope GEEP 3.0” and a critical step towards ensuring that government agricultural support reaches genuine and verifiable beneficiaries.

Lawal said the newly unveiled FarmerMoni G2P Card would serve as the digital gateway linking every verified farmer’s biometric and demographic profile directly to a secure wallet.

“This card is the instrument that turns registration into reach. It is how we ensure that agricultural support gets to genuine, verifiable farmers, and not to ghosts on a list,” he stated.

The NSIPA boss also announced that widows of Nigeria’s Fallen Heroes had been enrolled as priority beneficiaries under the programme.

“We are honoured today to enrol widows of our Fallen Heroes as priority beneficiaries under this programme – a small but deliberate way of saying that the nation remembers those who gave everything in her service,” Lawal said.

He further disclosed that under Renewed Hope GEEP 3.0, hundreds of thousands of Nigerians have been registered nationwide, with a significant number verified through BVN, NIN and credit checks.

According to him, thousands of clean, enumeration-ready records have also been forwarded to state consultants for physical enumeration.

Lawal explained that a whitelisted dataset generated after enumeration would be used for disbursement nationwide.

He added that the North Central Zone was the next frontier, while the model would be replicated across all geopolitical zones until every selected and genuine smallholder farmer was captured.

Speaking during the event, the National Programme Manager of GEEP, Mr. Hamza Ibrahim Baba, said the exercise reflected the Federal Government’s commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusion in the delivery of social investment programmes.

“This gathering is not ceremonial alone. It marks the formal commencement of on-the-ground enumeration activity across our North Central states, and today we witness the unveiling of the FarmerMoni G2P Card – the digital gateway through which every verified smallholder farmer’s biometric and demographic profile will be linked directly to a secure wallet,” Baba said.

He emphasized that the exercise also reflected NSIPA’s shared commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusion, ensuring that government support reaches the hands it was meant for, verified by data and delivered through the G2P Card.

Baba, on behalf of NSIPA and the GEEP team, thanked the farmers for their patience and trust, State Programme Managers for their coordination, partners for technical support and all dignitaries for gracing the occasion.

Dignitaries at the event included the leadership of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA), State Programme Managers, partners, enumeration consultants, farmers and beneficiaries.
