The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) on Wednesday, 14 January 2026, convened a capacity-building workshop aimed at strengthening result-driven performance assessment of the Agency’s deliverables and indicators, in line with national development priorities.

The workshop focused on a comprehensive review and adoption of the Central Results Delivery Coordinating Unit (CRDCU) reporting framework as it applies to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction and NSIPA, as well as the identification and validation of the Agency’s 2026 high-impact deliverables and performance indicators.

Participants at the session included Programme and Departmental Managers alongside CRDCU focal officers, who deliberated on deliverables and indicators designed to drive the implementation of Presidential priorities and ministerial mandates under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Discussions centred on identifying operational challenges, strengthening inter-departmental collaboration and developing actionable solutions to enhance the delivery and impact of government social investment programmes.

The workshop was formally declared open by Mr. Hamza Baba, National Programme Manager of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP), who represented the Acting National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the Agency.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Binta Ibrahim, Head of Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS), underscored the importance of the CRDCU framework, describing it as more than a compliance requirement. She stated that the CRDCU template provides a clear framework for measuring performance across ministries, agencies and parastatals, stressing that targets are not merely figures on paper but firm commitments that must be clear, measurable and achievable, and must translate into tangible impact for citizens. She urged participants to leverage the workshop to deepen accountability, encourage innovation and promote excellence across the Agency.
