The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has unveiled the full schedule for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course, confirming that activities will begin nationwide on April 22, 2026.

In an official statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the Scheme disclosed that “the Management of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released a schedule of major activities for 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.”

Providing further details, the statement noted that “the 21-day exercise will hold in all 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory simultaneously,” highlighting the coordinated nature of the nationwide programme.

According to the NYSC timetable, “the Orientation Course will commence with reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026, and end at midnight of Friday, 24th April, 2026.” This initial phase is expected to accommodate thousands of newly mobilized graduates reporting to camps across the country.

The Scheme also confirmed that a key ceremonial milestone will take place on the same day registration closes, stating that “Prospective Corps Members mobilized for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II service year will be sworn-in on Friday, 24th April, 2026.”

The orientation programme itself will run its full course over three weeks, with NYSC management emphasizing that “the Orientation Course will come to an end on Tuesday, 12th May, 2026.”

Beyond scheduling, the Scheme placed strong emphasis on the safety of corps members travelling to their respective camps. It specifically cautioned participants to avoid risky travel patterns, stressing that “Management wish Nigerian graduates mobilized for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II service year safe trips to the various orientation camps across the country, while reiterating its warning against night journeys.”
