Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire’s New President, Dr. Pat Oramah, Meets Ex-IGP Okiro in Build-Up to Investiture Ceremony

In the lead-up to his formal installation as President of the Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire, Dr. Pat Ifeanyi Oramah paid a courtesy visit to former Inspector-General of Police, Sir (Dr) Mike Mbama Okiro, CFR, at his residence in Abuja.
The visit was part of Dr. Oramah’s pre-investiture engagements aimed at fostering support and strengthening partnerships with respected national figures. His installation as the 8th President of the Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire is scheduled to be chaired by Sir Okiro himself.
Dr. Oramah was accompanied on the visit by immediate past President Barr. Obiananma Anne Onwukeme, incoming President Rotarian Marcel Ezenwa, Rotarian Comrade James Ezema, and other club members.
While extending his invitation to the upcoming ceremony, Dr. Oramah highlighted Rotary’s core principles of service above self and the need for collective efforts to promote peace and community development. He also shared his vision for enhancing the Club’s humanitarian initiatives and called for broader support from stakeholders.
In his remarks, Sir (Dr) Okiro commended the Rotary Club for its steadfast commitment to service and pledged his unwavering support for its mission. He encouraged wider public engagement in Rotary’s impactful programs and applauded Dr. Oramah’s leadership approach.
The Investiture Ceremony will take place on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 4:00 PM at the Barcelona Hotel in Wuse 2, Abuja.
The event will feature a blend of formal and celebratory highlights, including an Awards Night, a Fundraising Dinner, and a ceremonial handover. Guests from various sectors are expected to attend, reflecting the Club’s inclusive spirit.
Held under the theme “Unite for Good,” the occasion will serve as a rallying point for changemakers committed to service, leadership, and nation-building.
