A notable politician in Kogi State, Mohammed Haruna has expressed displeasure over complete absence of social ammenities in Ganaja Lokoja, promising to change the narrative.
Hon. Mohammed Haruna, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for House of Assembly, seeking to represent the people of Ajaokuta Constituency, gave the assurance while addressing the leaders of Victory Community, Ganaja Zone ‘A’ yesterday in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The PDP House of Assembly candidate, who is galvanising support for holistic victory of PDP in the forthcoming general elections in Kogi State said, Ganaja, a multi community deserves infrastructures not been provided by successive governments in the state.
He regreted that Ganaja community in Ajaokuta LGA, the fastest growing community in Kogi State, lacks ammenities even though it is an area with thriving and expansive economic activities in the state.
Haruna said, “We are lacking many things in this community. If you look from Gadumo, Ganaja to Elete, Imoro and other communities, there is no single government secondary school, we have no functional and affordable government hospital, three is no single market, until you go to International market and Kpata market.
“All you have here is private primary, private secondary schools which is not right”.
“You know what I have gone through in the course of this struggle. If not for the grace of God, I would have been forgotten by now, but the same God gave me the courage not to relent in this struggle”.
Hon. Haruna therefore appealed to Ganaja leadership to partner with him in this struggle to provide social ammenities to Ganaja and indeed Kogi State through undilluted support for him and all PDP candidates and by being cautious of deceptive politicians that comes around to buy their votes only to dump the people as usual.
