ABUJA — Prominent Nigerian women drawn from the worlds of business, politics, entrepreneurship, professional practice and public service are set to be honoured at the 2026 Women in Business and Politics Summit holding Friday, August 21, in Abuja.
The summit, scheduled to take place at A Class Events, Abuja, will recognise a distinguished group of women for their achievements, leadership and contributions to society.
In a statement issued by the Summit Coordinator, Hassie Oyama, the organisers said the recognition was designed to celebrate women whose accomplishments and influence continue to make a positive difference in their various fields and contribute to the broader development of Nigeria.
Those listed to receive special honours at the event include Nancy Iloh; Chioma Rosemary Onyekaba; Funmi Ajila-Ladipo; Dr. Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu; Halima Shuibu Kurfi; Hajia Hasfat Balewa; Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan; Ima Kurfi; Hilda Ashton Titiloye; and Mrs. Chinenye Laura Kester Agwu.
The organisers said the individual honours and citations would be formally unveiled at the summit, adding an element of anticipation to what is expected to be one of the major highlights of the gathering.
The Women in Business and Politics Summit 2026 is expected to attract influential women and other stakeholders from across Nigeria, including business executives, political leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals and advocates of women’s empowerment.
