The Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group has projected the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Bauchi State, Hon. Usman Adamu Sufi, as a reform-minded leader whose blend of private sector experience, financial expertise and technology-driven vision could accelerate the state’s economic transformation.

In a statement signed by Yerima Sani, the group said Sufi possesses the leadership qualities required to build a competitive economy anchored on transparency, innovation, agriculture, entrepreneurship and human capital development.

The group described the PDP governorship hopeful as a seasoned finance and corporate governance professional whose career reflects competence, accountability and a commitment to excellence.

According to the statement, Sufi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bayero University, Kano, and has spent more than two decades building expertise in finance, auditing, taxation, strategic administration and corporate governance.

It noted that his professional experience with leading organisations, including Deloitte & Touche and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has equipped him with the managerial skills needed to introduce global best practices into public administration.

The statement said Sufi’s leadership philosophy is rooted in transparency, prudent management of public resources and results-oriented governance.

“Great leaders are defined not only by the positions they hold but by the vision they inspire, the integrity they uphold, and the lasting impact they make. For Hon. Usman Adamu Sufi, leadership is a commitment to service, innovation, and building a prosperous future for every citizen,” the group stated.

The group maintained that beyond his corporate accomplishments, Sufi has remained actively involved in humanitarian initiatives, youth development, educational advancement and community empowerment, demonstrating a commitment to inclusive growth.

It added that his development blueprint seeks to diversify Bauchi’s economy by strengthening agriculture, attracting investment, supporting businesses and expanding infrastructure capable of driving sustainable economic growth.

According to the statement, one of the defining features of Sufi’s agenda is the emphasis on digital innovation as a catalyst for economic development.

The group explained that his plans include expanding Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education, establishing innovation and technology hubs, encouraging digital entrepreneurship and promoting vocational and technical education to prepare young people for emerging opportunities in the global economy.

“Recognising that the future belongs to innovation, Hon. Usman Adamu Sufi has consistently emphasised the importance of digital transformation. It said the governorship candidate believes effective governance must be built on transparency and efficient utilisation of public resources to improve the quality of life for citizens.

On agriculture, the statement described the sector as a critical pillar of Bauchi’s economy, noting that Sufi intends to expand farmers’ access to financing, modern farming technologies, value-chain opportunities and profitable markets.

According to the group, these initiatives would increase agricultural productivity, create jobs, boost food security and stimulate rural economic development.

The statement further said Sufi envisions a Bauchi State where quality education, accessible healthcare, modern infrastructure and a thriving private sector work together to create broad-based prosperity.
