The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Enugu State Chapter, has praised Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Frank Anioma, for fostering what it described as a peaceful, stable, and inclusive political environment in the state ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The coalition said the prevailing atmosphere of political harmony in Enugu has distinguished the state from many parts of the country where political activities and alignments have begun to generate tension as preparations for the next electoral cycle gather momentum.
In a statement jointly signed by the State Coordinator, Chief Hon. Dr. Innocent Ezeoha, Chairman, Dr. Afam Ani, and Secretary, Barr. Ken Ikeh, the CRPP attributed the state’s political stability to Governor Mbah’s inclusive leadership approach and the strategic management of political affairs by Chief Anioma, popularly known as Ezesinachi.
According to the coalition, Enugu State has continued to maintain a culture of dialogue, consultation, mutual respect, and issue-based political engagement despite increasing political activities nationwide.
“The Coalition of Registered Political Parties is impressed by the level of political stability being witnessed in Enugu State under the administration of Governor Peter Mbah,” the statement said.
“The administration has demonstrated that governance and politics can be managed in a manner that promotes peace, development, and democratic consolidation.”
The coalition particularly singled out Chief Anioma for commendation, describing him as a seasoned political mobilizer and bridge-builder whose leadership style has helped strengthen relationships among political stakeholders across party lines.
It noted that the Special Adviser’s calm disposition, extensive consultations, and commitment to inclusiveness have played a critical role in reducing political tensions and fostering understanding among diverse interest groups in the state.
“Chief Frank Anioma has brought wisdom, tact, and remarkable political maturity to the management of his office,” the coalition stated.
“His approach has been characterized by extensive consultations, inclusiveness, respect for diverse opinions, and a commitment to ensuring that political competition does not undermine the peace and unity of Enugu State.”
The CRPP further observed that Anioma’s sustained engagement with political leaders, community stakeholders, youth groups, support organisations, and party structures has strengthened public confidence in the democratic process and encouraged responsible political participation.
The coalition also linked the peaceful political atmosphere to Governor Mbah’s administration’s development-driven agenda, citing ongoing interventions in infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, economic growth, and public service reforms.
According to the group, the governor’s focus on governance and development has helped shift attention away from divisive politics and towards constructive engagement among stakeholders.
“We believe that the Governor’s unwavering focus on development, combined with the effective political coordination being undertaken by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, has helped create an atmosphere where governance remains the primary focus while political stakeholders continue to engage peacefully and responsibly,” the statement added.
As political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 elections, the coalition called on politicians and stakeholders across party lines to embrace tolerance, civility, and responsible engagement.
The CRPP stressed that democracy can only flourish where political competition is conducted peacefully and in the collective interest of the people.
The coalition urged political leaders nationwide to place national and state interests above personal ambitions, emphasizing that mutual respect, adherence to democratic principles, and peaceful participation remain essential for credible elections and sustainable development.
Reaffirming its commitment to democratic advancement, the group pledged continued support for initiatives aimed at strengthening democratic institutions, promoting peaceful coexistence, and encouraging constructive participation in governance.
The coalition expressed confidence that if the current atmosphere of stability, inclusiveness, and responsible leadership is sustained, Enugu State will continue to serve as a model of democratic governance and political maturity in Nigeria.
