The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership has lauded the Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for what it described as his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to addressing insecurity across Nigeria.
In a press statement issued in Abuja on February 9, 2026, and signed by its President, Amb. Abdul Danbature, the youth group praised Audi’s strategic approach and professionalism, which it said had strengthened national security operations and enhanced the protection of critical national assets.
The Assembly noted that under Audi’s stewardship, the NSCDC has recorded remarkable achievements in safeguarding vital infrastructure and contributing significantly to Nigeria’s overall security framework. The group described these successes as evidence of visionary leadership and a strong commitment to national service.
According to the statement, Northern youths and Nigerians generally have taken note of Audi’s sustained efforts in protecting lives and property while promoting peace and creating a secure environment necessary for socio-economic growth. The Assembly emphasized that such leadership aligns with the broader objectives of good governance and national development.
The group further warned against any attempts by individuals or groups to undermine the Commandant-General’s efforts, stressing that such actions would amount to working against national peace, stability, and progress. It maintained that those seeking to distract from the NSCDC’s operations were indirectly opposing the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reaffirming its support, the Assembly declared that national security must remain a top priority and pledged its continued backing for the NSCDC leadership in its mission to secure the country.
The group also offered prayers for continued strength, wisdom, and courage for Audi and officers of the Corps as they intensify efforts to combat insecurity nationwide.
