Comrade Aloke Okafor Andrew, affectionately known as “ASIWAJU” in Ebonyi State, stands as one of the unsung champions of democracy in the state. Unknown to many, his remarkable sacrifices significantly contributed to the triumph of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates during Nigeria’s 2023 general elections.

Aloke’s extraordinary dedication to his party’s campaign was so prominent that many mistook him for an electoral candidate, frequently asking about the position he sought in the 2023 general elections.

Utilizing a variety of human networks and online platforms, Comrade Aloke effectively mobilized the electorate in favor of the APC and its candidates, overcoming numerous challenges. His efforts culminated in significant victories for the party at both national and state levels in 2023.

Despite the formidable challenges faced by the APC Presidential Campaign Council in promoting the party and its presidential candidate in the South East region, Comrade Aloke displayed remarkable courage.

He employed diverse strategies, leading various political structures and leveraging both physical outreach and social media to secure substantial votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, and other current officeholders in the state.

As a true grassroots political mobilizer, Comrade Aloke’s efforts during the elections were invaluable. The 2023 general elections posed significant challenges for the APC across the South East, largely due to the vigorous efforts of opposition parties.

Nevertheless, Comrade Aloke’s blend of bravery, strategic acumen, and deep-rooted connections with ordinary citizens—engaging his peers and young people across the state—proved to be a risky yet rewarding political endeavor. His relentless dedication ultimately translated into crucial votes for the APC.

He was one of the political financiers of the campaign in his ward, in Ishielu Local Government Area, and made useful contributions in Ebonyi State at large.

Specifically, as a young and vibrant politician, he has headed, sponsored, served, contributed, and financed the APC through his participation in group activities and the positions he held during the 2023 general elections and after the polls.

• BOT & Executive Member of the Unwuekumenyi United Youths Forum ably led by Prince Uche Ali Ega, ACE.

• State Coordinator, Asiwaju Shettima Mandate Group, Ebonyi State Chapter.

• State Coordinator, BATS-Vanguard,
• Ebonyi State.

• Member of Divine Mandate Campaign Council, Agba Ward.

• Member, FON Agba Ward.

Recently, the newest elected  Ebonyi State Coordinator of Unified Almagamated APC Support Groups, a National APC approved Umbrella body that is in charge of All Approved and Registered APC Support Groups in Nigeria that will be Ineugurated in May 2024 at Abuja.

This is a testimony of his role in recent years, but his most important role is his doggedness and perseverance, amid oppositions’ pressures, which greatly contributed in ensuring that Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru won overwhelmingly in his ward, in Ishielu, and Ebonyi State in general.

To make this possible, he galvanized voters door-to-door, booth-to-booth, ward-to-ward, vigorously campaigning, having deployed his over 20 political platforms as a tool to reach out the Ebonyians.

As a result of his efforts, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru won many votes on each booth in his ward.

For making history as a grassroots mobilizer and astute politician, his people Celebrated him. In fact this earned him a place as Political Lion and Political Juggernaut as well as an award winning election genius in the state. 

He is academically sound with
degrees and trainings in Education  Foundation Administration & Planning, Business Administration, and Banking & Finance.

As expected, Comrade Aloke Okafor Andrew faced many attacks from venomous oppositions because of his unrelenting commitment towards the success of APC and candidates before and during 2023 elections.

Evidently, this political go-getter has proven himself to be a full blooded party man worthy of more accolades and recognition in the state.
