Acting DG Charges Data Entry Officers On Credibility

Data Entry Officers (DEOs) of Corps Producing Institutions in the country have been charged to ensure that only the correct data of Prospective Corps Members are presented for mobilization into the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.

The Acting Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs Christy Uba gave the charge today in her opening remark at the training programme for Data Entry Officers of Corps Producing lnstitutions held in Abuja.

Such training always herald the commencement of NYSC Mobilization calendar.

Uba, who was represented by the Director, Corps Mobilization, Hajia Walida Siddique Isa said data credibility is very critical to the entire mobilization process and called on the DEOs to ensure high credibility of all data being forwarded for NYSC deployment.

The Acting Director General also called on the Data Entry Officers to avoid corrupt practices which is detrimental to the integrity of the NYSC Mobilization process.

“A credible data entry will contribute immensely to a flawless and seamless process. Try and check for errors on your school’s data before uploading on the NYSC integrated system”, Uba said.

In her welcome remark, the Director, Corps Mobilization, Hajia Walida Siddique Isa said the training is a routine programme of the Scheme, which brings together all Data Entry Officers in order to acquaint them with emerging trends in the collation of data for optimal results.

Hajia Siddique called on the Data Entry Officers to be more dedicated in the discharge of their duties.

She urged them to always seek for clarifications on the Scheme’s deployment process through the NYSC dedicated lines whenever in doubt.
