Award:GAPU Norminates Govs. Sule, Makinde, Bello, and Other Personalities To Receive SDGs’16’ Awards

Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and other outstanding individuals will be honored by Global Alliance for Peace and Unity (GAPU) at it’s first Peace Roundtable and Award presentation which will take place on the 9th of December, 2022 at Reiz Continental Hotel, Abuja.

While Governor (Engr). Abdullahi A. Sule will be honoured as Peace Governor of the Year, those to be honoured as Icons of peace are Governor Yahaya Bello;
Governor Seyi Makinde; Speaker House, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajamila; MD/CEO AEDC, Engr. Adeoye Fadeyibi, AVM Monday Morgan Rtd, Former Chief of Defense Intelligence of the Armed Forces; Alhaji Muhammed Bello Shehu, Chairman RMFC.; Mallam Shittu Mohd Kabir, CON; Engr. Olushola Akintola; Hon. Joseph Oche (G12); Minister of State for FCT; Hon. Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu; Minister Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen; APC Deputy National Women leader, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim; Chief Gabriel Gbayan Director National Audit; Mathew Burkaa SAN; National President of ALGON, Hon. Kolade David Alabi, DG NTA, Alhaji Salihu Abdulahi Dembos, Rt. Hon. Gaza Jonathan Gbefi; CP BALAREBE Sule; HRH Dr. Shehu Yamusa 11; and Bishop Dr Isreal A. Ofunne.

A statement by the Committee Chairman, Comr. Kelvin Odatse Peters said the Peace Award is to encourage individuals for their outstanding contributions for the betterment of Society.

Peters added that GAPU recognizes peacebuilders who have made substantial contributions in preventing conflict, combatting violence and building peace.

“The award is bestowed upon distinguished individual(s) who have made substantial contributions to maintaining peace, contributions that have led in direct ways to improving the human condition.

“Recipients will have demonstrated through their accomplishments their commitment to service for the greater good”, he said.
