We Found Solution To Nigeria’s Problem 30 Years Ago But… – Says SDP Presidential Candidate Prince Adebayo

The Presidential candidates of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has said that his party found the solution to Nigeria’s problem, including poverty and insecurity, some thirty years ago but has not yet had the opportunity to form government and implement it.

Prince Adebayo, who spoke during a television breakfast show on Arise TV, said that Nigerians have unanimously agreed that the the citizens have not had a good experience since the advent of democracy in 1999 and incidentally, the Social Democratic Party has not been part of producing the country’s leaders till date.

In his words, the SDP presidential candidate reminded Nigerians that the SDP is “fielding candidates in all the positions, not only me; all the candidates we have for senatorial election, house of representatives election to the governorship and to the state houses of assembly are credible people who are trusted in their communities.

“And our message is that we have a solution, which we found 30 years ago and that we have not used, to eradicate poverty and we have clear solutions for dealing with insecurity in the country.

“So, on the basis of these issues, as you referenced Chief Olu Falae our founding national chairman, that we are going to engage the Nigerian people.

“And how we want to win this election is different from how election is captured in the past. We’re not going to use force or threats or money; we’re going to use issues, we are going to go to all the 176, 180 polling units and we are going to talk to the Nigerian people, using the traditional and digital media to lay the issues down, bring out plans and programmes from our manifesto and to link that with the constitutional requirement of chapter two of the Nigerian constitution so that the Nigerian people will know that we know the issues and we have solutions. And the solutions we have are pragmatic, practical and realistic within available resources in the country”, Prince Adebayo said.
