An Abuja-based development consultant and Special Adviser to the President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria on Programmes, Engr. Kayode Adegbayo, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria, urging them to embrace the season as a period of reflection, renewal, and commitment to peaceful coexistence.
In a statement marking the Easter celebration, Engr. Adegbayo underscored the enduring relevance of the season’s core values—sacrifice, hope, and compassion—describing them as critical pillars for effective leadership and sustainable grassroots development.
“Easter reminds us that leadership must be rooted in compassion,” he said, noting that governance at all levels, particularly at the grassroots, must prioritize inclusivity and human dignity. He emphasized that development programmes should be deliberately structured to ensure that no citizen is left behind, especially the most vulnerable in society.
The ALGON aide commended Christians for their resilience in the face of socio-economic challenges, encouraging them to remain steadfast as agents of positive transformation within their communities. He stressed that the message of Easter offers a powerful reminder of the triumph of hope over adversity, urging citizens to translate faith into constructive action.
Highlighting the role of local governments in national development, Engr. Adegbayo reaffirmed ALGON’s commitment to advancing initiatives that strengthen access to education, improve healthcare delivery, and enhance security at the community level. He noted that such interventions are essential for fostering inclusive growth and improving the quality of life for Nigerians.
Engr. Adegbayo, a seasoned human capital development expert, has contributed significantly to the design and implementation of national programmes spanning institutional capacity strengthening across various arms and tiers of government. His work, he noted, is focused on optimizing value delivery and driving impactful outcomes across public institutions.
He concluded by praying for a peaceful and prosperous Easter celebration, calling on Nigerians to deepen bonds of unity, love, and mutual understanding as the nation continues its pursuit of stability and progress.
