The Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire is poised to enter a new era of impact as it prepares for the investiture of its 8th President, Dr. Pat Ifeanyi Oramah (PHF).
The prestigious ceremony, which holds under the distinguished chairmanship of the former Inspector-General of Police, Sir (Dr) Mike Mbama Okiro, is scheduled for tomorrow, August 8, 2025, at the Barcelona Hotel in Wuse 2, Abuja, signaling a significant new chapter in the club’s legacy of service.
Aligning with Rotary International’s guiding theme for the year, “Unite for Good,” the event promises to be a vibrant celebration of leadership, philanthropy, and community progress.
The evening will integrate an awards night with a fundraising dinner designed to secure resources for the club’s numerous humanitarian projects planned for the Rotary year.
A key highlight of the induction ceremony will be the unveiling of a new mega project, further solidifying the club’s commitment to impactful outreach and strengthening bonds within the Rotary family.
The ceremony offers guests a meaningful opportunity to contribute to causes that reflect Rotary’s core values of fellowship, integrity, and service above self.
Dr. Oramah, a seasoned change-maker and devoted Rotarian, brings a wealth of professional excellence and civic dedication to his new role. Known for his dynamic leadership style and a deep-seated passion for service, he has a long track record of championing transformative projects that uplift underserved communities across Nigeria.
Expectations for his presidency are exceptionally high among club members, fellow Rotarians, and attending dignitaries, who anticipate a tenure marked by innovation, inclusiveness, and tangible impact. As one fellow Rotarian shared, “We’re not just celebrating a new president; we’re igniting a new season of purpose. Dr. Oramah embodies the spirit of Rotary—visionary, generous, and relentlessly committed to doing good.”
He will be taking the leadership mantle from the immediate past president, Barr. Anne Onwukeme, whose “magic” tenure is noted for having raised the bar in the club’s history of leadership.
With a strong new leader and a shared mission, the Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire is ready to elevate its legacy, one service project at a time.
