Following the successful celebration of Eid-el-Kabir across Nigeria, Hon. Engr. Kayode Adegbayo, Development Expert, Capacity Building Consultant, and Special Assistant on Programmes to the National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muslim faithful nationwide.

In a message issued in Abuja, Engr. Adegbayo praised the Muslim community for observing the sacred festival with devotion, discipline, and compassion. He described Eid-el-Kabir as a spiritually significant period that reinforces the timeless values of faith, sacrifice, and obedience to divine will.

“I warmly congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful celebration of Eid-el-Kabir,” he said. “This occasion is a powerful reminder of Prophet Ibrahim’s devotion and the virtue of sacrifice. I commend all who upheld these values in their acts of worship and generosity.”

He emphasized that beyond the rituals and festivities, the spirit of Eid should inspire Nigerians—regardless of religion—to embody unity, selflessness, and care for one another, particularly during challenging times.

“As we mark the end of this significant celebration, I urge us to continue in the spirit of love, compassion, and generosity,” Adegbayo stated. “Let us share with the needy, strengthen community bonds, and deepen our commitment to national development.”

Engr. Adegbayo also used the opportunity to call on leaders across all levels of government to draw inspiration from the values of the season. He urged them to prioritize peace, justice, and service to the people in their leadership.

“I pray for our leaders—at the federal, state, and local levels—to reflect on the message of Eid-el-Kabir and recommit themselves to the service of humanity and the unity of our great nation,” he said.
