In response to the recent wave of violence in Plateau State, President Bola Tinubu has vowed to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure they face severe punishment under the law.
The attacks, which targeted communities in Bokkos Local Government and villages such as Manguna and Dafo, resulted in significant loss of life and destruction of property.
Expressing his condolences, President Tinubu extended his sympathies to the families of the victims and the Government of Plateau State, led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang.
He urged affected communities to cooperate with security agencies by providing information to aid in apprehending the attackers and securing their neighborhoods.
The President emphasized his commitment to restoring peace and order across Nigeria, stating, “These intermittent attacks should have no place in our country at a time when we are working so hard to restore peace and order in all parts of our country.”
To support the victims and aid recovery efforts, President Tinubu directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to collaborate with state authorities. NEMA will provide immediate relief to affected communities and assist in rebuilding efforts.
President Tinubu called on all Nigerians to unite in fostering peace and stability, urging citizens to reject retaliation and embrace shared humanity.
He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to protecting every Nigerian citizen and eradicating forces of evil.
