The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Enugu State chapter, has called for political harmony and a united front for sustainable development in the state under the leadership of the state Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
The coalition’s plea, articulated during their monthly general meeting on June 10, 2024, was a response to divisive rhetoric and aims to foster a collaborative environment conducive to the state’s progress.
The CRPP in a statement signed by CRPP Enugu State, Coordinator, Chief Innocent Ezeoha; Chairman, Dr. Afam Ani; and the Secretary, Barr. Ken Ikeh, came in the wake of recent incidents where certain party members have engaged in the dissemination of inflammatory and unsubstantiated claims regarding state affairs.
The CRPP’s endorsement of Governor Mbah’s leadership signifies a testament to the potential for political unity to catalyze sustainable development.
The coalition noted that it’s commitment to supporting the governor’s initiatives reflects a shared aspiration for Enugu State’s prosperity.
The coalition’s resolutions underscored the importance of patience and support for the government’s efforts to deliver on its promises.
The CRPP’s call for a responsible opposition that contributes constructively to the state’s governance is seen as a refreshing approach in today’s often polarized political climate.
As Enugu State continues to navigate the complexities of development, the CRPP’s stance serves as a beacon of hope for a collaborative future.
The coalition’s noted that it’s support for Governor Mbah’s administration is not just an endorsement of a political figure but a pledge to the people of Enugu State to work towards a common goal of progress and well-being.
CRPP’s message clearly indicated that unity and patience are key to building the Enugu State that everyone desires.
With continued support for the governor’s development plans, the CRPP observed, Enugu State is poised to set a benchmark for others to follow, ensuring that it remains a place of pride for all its residents.
CRPP’s full statement reads:
THE COALITION OF REGISTERED POLITICAL PARTIES (CRPP), ENUGU STATE CHAPTER CALLS ON ALL POLITICAL PARTIES TO JOIN FORCES WITH GOV. PETER NDUBUISI MBAH.
Rising from her monthly general meeting held on Monday June 10 2024, the Coalition of Registered political parties Enugu state cha, called on all political parties to join hands with the Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi MBAH and the government of Enugu State in order to build an enviable state we can be proud of.
This advice was coming on the heels of some parties allowing their members to make unwholesome, inflammatory and baseless statements to the press on affairs of the state.
The Coalition took time to x-ray the state of affairs in Enugu State and resolved as follows:
- That the government of Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is just one year in office and should be given time to off-load her democratic dividends aptly condensed in his manifesto and also be commended for the numerous projects it has delivered within the period under review.
- That the ongoing projects in the state, namely: the revitalization of the ENUGU water scheme, the 260 smart schools, the 71 road constructions and reconstruction across the state and the new 80 nww ones to be done, not forgetting the 10 kilometer roads to be done in each of the 260 wards of the state, the healthcare intervention and the educational projects are only but a tip of the iceberg and therefore the government deserves some patience and support.
- That we cannot be against opposition rather we should be responsible in the delivery and ensure that we prefer alternative view points.
- That the use of abusive languages and efforts at distorting history and the truth cannot do anyone any good rather, parties who feel strongly otherwise should either seek clarification from appropriate channels instead of deceiving innocent citizens.
- We acknowledge the security area as a pivotal issue in the development of any society and must encourage as always, more investment in the Area since the challenges are always dynamic and multifarious.
We therefore disassociate and dethrone the concept of opposition based on publication of falsehood and the content which did not reflect the views of NdiEnugu nor any of the good work that His Excellency Dr Peter Mbah and the government of Enugu State are doing for the past one year.
We shall continue to support the Governor and the government of Enugu State to ensure that Enugu remains the best place we desire to live.
