Dabiri-Erewa Commends Humanitarian Efforts Of A Nigerian-Canadian, Gives Palliatives To IDP Camp

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission under the leadership of Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa has applauded the the humanitarian disposition of a Nigerian-Canadian, Ms. Vivian Etuka, as she visited IDP Camp and Orphanages in Abuja with food items, clothes, toys and books for their welfare and wellbeing.

Chairman/CEO, NiDCOM, who received the founder and CEO, of Bethel Outreach Community Services in Abuja urged other Diasporans, individually and collectively, to emulate Ms Etuka’s passion and commitment towards helping the less endowed and privileged in the society.

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa said the act of hers clearly shows the kind, brotherly nature of Nigerians, irrespective of tribe and religion.

The NiDCOM Chairman recalled that she had the privilege of meeting Etuka, who also runs a shelter home for homeless immigrants in Ontario, during her visit to Brampton where she met with stranded Nigerians in Camps last year seeking asylum.

Ms. Vivian Etuka, thanked the NiDCOM Chairman for her assistance in making the project a reality.

According to her, she is very passionate towards the needy; hence a reason to start a charity group back home.

While receiving the palliatives, Mr. Ibrahim Amodu, the Durumi IDP Camp Chairman, thanked the NGO for their kind gesture, as they are in dire need of these relief items.

Also, Hajia Zainab Basah, Home Supervisor of Halal Children’s Home, Life Camp, appreciated the NGO, who sacrificed their resources to bring succour and happiness to the faces of children and commended NIDCOM Boss for her facilitation and love for the less endowed.

Goods donated by the Charity Organisation were new clothings, food items, new beddings/blankets, toys and educational materials for children who have been out of school for over a year.

Bethel Outreach Community Services is a Charitable Organisation based in Canada which provides hope and humanitarian assistance to refugees, asylum seekers and the less endowed.
