Enugu CNPP Salutes Governor Mbah On Tribunal Victory, Tasks Him On Losers

The Conference of Nigeria Political appParties (CNPP), Enugu State has congratulated the state, Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on his victory at the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal which affirmed his victory in the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.
CNPP in a statement at the weekend underscored the peace that returned to Enugu State immediately after the delivery of the judgment and called on the Governor to eschew mundane considerations, bask in the reaffirmed mandate of NdiEnugu and to extend hand of fellowship to his contenders.
In the statement, the chairman of CNPP in Enugu State, Dr. Afam Ani noted that the judgment delivered by the three-man panel led by Hon. Justice Akano is a landmark judgment.
The CNPP described the judgment as “victory for democracy and victory for NdiEnugu state.”
The CNPP chairman, also adviced “those who lost in court, to embrace peace and join hands with the people’s Governor to build the Enugu State of our dream.”
Giving kudos to the judiciary in the state’s election petition, the CNPP noted that the tribunal did a thorough job without fear or favour, saying that “it was clear that the petitioners had no strong case since NYSC certificate is obviously not a criteria for running for governorship and the Governor never attached same to any document he submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).”
