Eid-El-Adha: Matawalle Calls for National Unity, Support for Troops

The Minister of State for Defence, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, has urged Nigerians to embrace unity, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence as Muslims across the country celebrate the Eid-El-Adha festival.
In a special Sallah message, Dr. Matawalle congratulated Muslim faithful and Nigerians at large, describing the Islamic celebration as a reminder of the enduring values of sacrifice, patience, obedience, and devotion to Almighty Allah.
He stressed that the lessons of Eid-El-Adha should inspire citizens to strengthen national harmony and work collectively towards the peace and development of the country.
“As we celebrate, I urge Nigerians to continue promoting peace, tolerance, and mutual understanding for the progress of our country,” the minister stated.
Matawalle reaffirmed the commitment of the Federal Government and the nation’s security architecture to protecting Nigeria’s sovereignty and ensuring the safety of citizens in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The minister noted that the Armed Forces, in collaboration with other security agencies, remain resolute in defending the territorial integrity of the country despite prevailing security challenges.
He also commended Nigerian troops for their patriotism, bravery, and unwavering dedication in the fight against insecurity, acknowledging the sacrifices they continue to make in service to the nation.
Matawalle further expressed optimism that the spirit of Eid-El-Adha would foster greater understanding among Nigerians and reinforce the collective resolve to build a safer and more prosperous nation.
He concluded by praying for enduring peace, security, and prosperity across the country while wishing Nigerians a joyful Eid celebration.
