Protest: Katsina Acting Governor Unveils Comprehensive Economic Development Plan, Urges Citizens to Engage in Constructive Dialogue

In a bid to address the current economic challenges facing Katsina State, Acting Governor Malam Farouk Lawal Jobe has appealed to residents to engage in constructive dialogue with the government rather than joining the nationwide protest.
Jobe highlighted several key initiatives underway to alleviate hardships and create opportunities for all residents.
The initiatives include a ₦10 billion MSME Growth Fund, the creation of the Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA), and the development of Common Facility Centres in all three Senatorial Districts.
Additionally, he said, the government has launched the Dikko BDS Corp, implemented an MSME Census and Survey, and established the Katsina Employability Project.
Jobe urged citizens to channel their energies into productive endeavors and take advantage of the opportunities being created.
He emphasized the importance of patience and cooperation, saying, “We are laying the groundwork for a more prosperous future, but we need your patience and cooperation to succeed.”
In a heartfelt appeal, Jobe called upon residents to join hands with the government in lifting the state forward, saying, “Your energy, your ideas, and your commitment are invaluable assets in our journey towards prosperity.”
He encouraged citizens to engage with the initiatives put in place and work together to build a peaceful, prosperous Katsina.
