Governorship Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, has expressed confidence of winning the governorship election in the state.

Abba spoke to newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Balarabe Haladu ward, 003 polling unit in Gwale Local Government Area.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for early provision of materials in the ongoing election in the state.

He also commended residents for coming out en-masse to exercise their franchise.

He then commended security agencies for providing adequate security in polling units across the local government areas, which paved the way for a smooth electoral process so far.

NNPP won the presidential election in Kano with wide margin during the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.
