Christmas: Save Enugu Group Felicitates with Enugu Residents

The Save Enugu Group (SEG) has felicitated with the good people of Enugu State and residents of the state at the occasion of the commemoration of the birth of the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

In a statement signed by the National Coordinator of the soci-political pressure group, Chief Willy Ezugwu, the SEG urged Christians in the state “to use the opportunity the season offers to spread the love of God in anyway way possible to the needy in the society.”

According to the Christmas message issued in Enugu on Saturday, the SEG urged political leaders in the state to “jointly pursue the actualisation of the dreams and aspirations of the ordinary citizens.

“That is a sacrifice the leaders and the good people of Enugu State owe one another to ensure the betterment of the well-being of the people.

“We commend the state government for ensuring a peaceful celebration of Christmas despite the obvious security challenges in the country.

“We urge the residents to remain security conscientious throughout the Yuletide season and beyond”, the SEG counselled.

The group also thanked the state’s residents for “their steadfastness and commitment to the actualisation of a better society.

“So far, the cooperation, love, and support for the Governor Ugwuanyi administration is yielding evident dividends of democracy in terms of infrastructural developments at the grassroots, better education sector, security of lives and property, as well as enabling environment for private businesses to thrive.

“As we continue to pray for the success of the current administration in line with biblical teachings, we wish all resident a happy and peaceful Christmas celebration”, the SEG added.
