Chyna Iwuanyanwu: 3R Govt Appointees, House Speaker and Members, Other Stakeholders Rally Round Imo Deputy Speaker at Thanksgiving

Deputy Speaker of Imo House of Assembly, Hon. Amara Iwuanyanwu hosted a rather emotional, classy and befitting Family Thanksgiving Service in memory of Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu, his late dad yesterday the 27th of December 2020 in Amuzi, Dim’na’nume.

The Deputy Speaker led his family, friends and colleagues who gathered from far and wide to the Altar of the New Covenant Anglican Church in Amuzi, Nwangele.

Speaking in the presence of the congregation, Hon. Amara (a.k.a Mr. Capacity) reminisced in front of guests, about how his dad built an unwavering legacy.

The Deputy Speaker, the youngest man to have assumed this position in Imo State, shared his favourite song with the congregation, saying that the song in particular gives him peace whenever he misses his Daddy.

The emotion laden interlude, which showed off succinctly that above all, the Deputy Speaker is only a human, left the congregation soberly reflective.

The church service was wrapped up within a couple of hours paving way for a classy reception at the Dep. Speaker’s Family Home.

Indomitable household names in the Imo political sphere all joined the reception.

Names like Chief Tony Chukwu, Akashia Nkwere, Chief Tony Nwaneri, Speaker of the House, Several House Members and one of Governor Uzodimma’s 3R Ambassador and Special Adviser on Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Cllr. Celia Osakwe-Hibbert were among several other political stalwarts present.

The atmosphere was that of ‘a great big family’, especially with representatives from all arms of Government at the event.

“This cohesion must be attributed to our Governor”, stated the SA on Diaspora, adding that “His Excellency has led the pack with a large heart, he never takes sides and he will always insist that we must all work together.

“I’m proud that we are all gathered here with the same spirit to support our friend and brother Hon. Amara. It is evident that his Dad lived an exemplary life, it is also clear that Amara is following in his Dad’s great footsteps”, Hon Osakwe-Hibbert added.

She prayed his soul and the souls of all the faithfuls, who have departed us, rest with the Lord.
