Hon. Councillor Celia Osakwe-Hibbert, the Special Adviser on Diaspora Affairs to Senator Hope Uzodimma, has received an intersate recognition with a ‘Platinum Award of Excellence In Human Capacity Development’ from young people in another state.
During the same event she gives an outstanding lecture titled ‘Role Of Youths For A Sustainable Development’.
The Diaspora Face of Imo thanked the National Youth Council Of Nigeria, the Abia State, East Chapter, for the prestigious recognition and award.
Hon. Osakwe-Hibbert was invited specially as a Guest Speaker and travelled from base in Imo State to deliver a lecture at the young people event in Abia state.
She spoke on the theme: ‘Role of Youths For A Sustainable Development’.
The SA Diaspora opened the lecture by saying that “I believe there couldn’t have been a better choice of Speaker on this topic, than an appointee of a Governor who was recently crowned the SDG Governor of the year in Nigeria.
The young Special Adviser drew a lot of comparisons from life at home versus life in the Diaspora.
The essence of the lecture was to bolster the aspirations and expectations of the youths.
The event was an indication that irrespective of the #EndSars protests, the majority of youths are ready to engage constructively.
