As Governor Uzodinma Tasks Attendees on Formidable Security in Imo

The Special Advisers to the Governor on Safety, Pension and DIASPORA spotted with their colleagues at Imo Council of Traditional Rulers Parliament, Mbari Street Owerri as the two days Imo State Security Summit kicked off today, the 5th of November 2020. 

Sen. Hope Uzodimma, the Governor of Imo State who presented an epoch speech, encouraged the attendees to ensure that the security fabric of Imo State is formidable.

He acknowledges the Imo youth who engaged in peaceful protest but condemned the opportunists who took advantage of the innocent #EndSars protest.

The Governor urged everyone to ‘be vigilant and to lend all support to the police and security units in order for them to carry out their job diligently.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu also made a presentation at the meeting, spoke about the concept of ‘Community Policing’ and the need to maintain peace and unity in our various communities.

In attendance, besides the Special Advisers, were Traditional Rulers, Local Government Chairmen, Town Union Executives, Community Vigilantes, and other relevant stakeholders.
