Happening Now: TVC News Set On Fire, TV, Radio Stations Off Air

The ppremises housing both Television and Radio Continental, in Ikosi area of Lagos State is on fire as hoodlums stormed the area, setting the premises and vehicles ablaze.

TVC News is a Nigerian 24-hour television news channel, which is owned by Continental Broadcasting Service believed to be owned by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This came the morning after his party was accused of masterminding the killing of peaceful protesters at Lekki Toll Gate last night.

The inferno started this morning while a live show was on.

The stations, including Radio Continental, are available at the moment.

According to Alkasim Abdulkadir, a Communications Expert, the hosts has raised the alarm.

Abdulkadir tweeted: “watching TVC, the anchors frantically said there were thugs at their gate trying to break into the premises”.

The thugs burnt vehicles parked outside the premises while others broke into the stations and set the premises on fire.
