…As SA Liaison, Jimmy Imo Says Governor is Marching Words with Actions

The Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Cllr. Celia Osakwe- Hibbert has said that the state Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma is revitalising the state and boosting human capital developments across the state.
This is even as the Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor, Abuja Liaison, Sir Jimmy Imo noted that the Governor is fulfilling his electoral promises.
Both spoke when the SA on Diaspora, Hon. Osakwe-Hibbert, Commissioner of Finance Chuck Chukwuemeka, and the Accountant General Sir (Chief) Val Obieze visited the Abuja Liaison Office at the weekend.
According to Hon. Osakwe-Hibbert, all initiatives that would reduce poverty, improve and boost the economic growth of the state are currently ongoing.
In her words, “Our Governor is revitalizing the Imo State Civil Service and boosting human capital developments.”
She pointed out that the Imo State Government, tagged the government of Shared Prosperity, would ensure a huge improvement on the living standards of the people of the state, assuring her colleagues of cooperation with her office.
While welcoming them, Sir Jimmy Imo equally assured the officials of the cooperation of the Liaison Office as they attend to their official assignments.
He said, “Our Governor champions constant interfacing, cooperation and synergy amongst Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the State to ensure the advancement of government’s goals, aspirations and achievements.
“As the embassy of Imo State in Abuja, we are flag bearers for our state here in the Federal Capital Territory and in the 19 Northern States”.
Sir Imo highlighted the activities of the office, and informed his guests of the massive rehabilitation works being undertaken by the government at the Liaison, the Governors Lodge and others, after years of neglect and vandalism by previous administrations.
He expressed his appreciation to Governor Uzodinma.
Sir Imo also used the opportunity of the visit to draw attention of the Hon Commissioner Finance and the Accountant General to some challenges faced by Staff that requires their attention.
Responding, the Commissioner of Finance thanked the Special Adviser for the reception accorded them, and the achievements of the Office so far under the Government of Shared Prosperity.
Addressing the challenges of the staff as raised by the Special Adviser, the Finance Commissioner informed the liaison staff that there will be major interventions to the welfare of Civil Servants in the State under the present government.
He revealed that Governor Uzodinma has more projects, initiatives and programs that would further boost the welfare and growth of workers.
Hon. Chukwuemeka thanked the workers for their efforts and contributions stating that the successes of any government are hinged on workers.
Contributing, the Accountant General Sir (Chief) Obieze informed the staff that challenges of the past have been addressed, and going forward, initiatives that would ensure hitch free pay rolling have been put in place.
