COVID-19: Katsina State Begins Distribution of Palliatives to over 33,000 Vulnerable Households in 34 LGAs

Katsina State Government has started distribution of covid 19 parliatives in the Thirty Four Local Governments of the State.

The Speaker Katsina State House of Assembly Alh Tasi’u Musa maigari witnessed the distribution exercise at katsina Central store.

Over thirty three Thausand five hundred volnerables house holds are to benefit from the second phase of covid 19 distribution of the parliatives in Katsina State.

Alh Tasi’u maigari said Katsina State Government made all necessary arrangements to ensure that gesture meet the targeted beneficiaries.

The speaker added that the beneficiaries were selected from each polling units of thirty four local government areas.

The chairman for the distribution committee and also the Permanent Secretary Deputy Governor office Alhaji Aminu Abu Bazariye mni spoke on the arrangements so far made to ensure success of the exercise.

He Said the beneficiaries were screened to ensure that the gesture has reached the targetted volnerables in the State.

The CACovid state representative Alh Bello Mohammed said they are here to monitor the distribution of the food items. he expressed appreciation on the method of the distribution by the committees

Alh Bello also called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the items.

The items distributed during the second phase of the distribution include sixty seven thausand one hundred and six bags of Rice, sugar, salt, spaghetti, gari as well as one hundred and thirty four thausand two hundred and twelves cartoons of Indomie.

It can be recalled that this programme was launched last August by His Excellency Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari along his Deputy Alhaji Mannir Yakubu aimed at bringing succor to the velnerables and less previlaged in the State.
