The management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced the suspension of increment on electricity tariff.
In a statement signed the AEDC’s General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr. Oyebode Fadipe noted that the suspension was in compliance with the order issued last week by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
Addressing its customers, the AEDC’s management said in the statement that “We are delighted to inform you that AEDC has suspended the Service Reflective Tariff in strict compliance with the NERC Order of 28th September, 2020.
“Customers who are on the pre-paid meter diet would have noticed this by now”, the company said.
The AEDC then assured its customers that “Modalities for the alignment of the accounts of customers on the pre and post paid platform in line with the Order and such other Orders that may be made is also in progress.”
