Nigeria has recorded 338 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections to 5,959, with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) recording 21 cases.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control confirmed the new figures in a tweet late Sunday.
According to the NCDC, 177 of the new cases were in Lagos, 64 were recorded in Kano, 4 in Jigawa and 16 in Rivers state.
21 new cases were recorded in the FCT, with the full details as follows:

The total number of active cases in the country now sits at 5959 while 1594 persons have been discharged.
As at Sunday, May 17, the total number of fatalities recorded is 182.
