The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has issued an advisory to Nigerians amid planned easing of the anti-Coronavirus lockdown effective May 4, 2020 in order to continue to prevent the spread of the dreaded pandemic.
The advisory came amid increasing new cases of COVID-19 in West African country.
The NCDC in a tweet on Saturday morning noted that despite the ease of the lockdown, it is critical for everyone involved in managing public spaces to adhere to measures to prevent #COVID19 spread, including provision of handwashing facilities and hand sanisers and avoiding any gathering of more than twenty people as well as compulsory temperature checks for visitors.
“Despite the ease of the lockdown starting 4th May, it is critical for those managing public spaces to adhere to these measures to #PreventCOVID19Spread:
🧴Provision of handwashing facilities/sanitisers
👥No gathering of >20 people
🌡Mandatory temperature checks”, the NCDC tweeted.
