The National Coordinator National Association Of Christian Pilgrims Dr. Barika D. Saro-Laka has Urged the federal government of Nigeria to urgently establish National Institute for Thinking to reorientate the psyche of Nigerians towards embracing selfless services, best practices, accountability and national patriotism.
This he said during a paper presentation at a summit held on the 30th of January, 2020 in Bayelsa Guest House Hall, Maitama-Abuja, on how best personnel of agencies and parastatals of the FCT can effectively deliver services.
The summit which was tagged ‘Innovation 2020: Repositioning for Effective Service Delivery in the FCT-Abuja was aimed at refreshing the minds of Nigerians on the need to being proactive in order to achieve selfless services, best practices, accountability and national patriotism which are major concerns in the country at the point in time.
However, the summit went Successfully with the kind of great minds that stormed the event which had metamorphose into fantastic ideas. The garnering of the wonderful thoughts would only give credit to the summit if systematically put in use by the appropriate bodies.
According to Dr. Barika D. Saro-Laka, he said the only way out for Nigeria to have a nation that everyone clamour for is by instituting a National Institute for Thinking to reorientate the psyche of Nigerians towards embracing selfless services, best practices, accountability and national patriotism.
Strategically, his point would effectively go along way if critically looked into considering the fact that Nigerians are found wanting in these areas and the only way to have this done effectively is to have the institution instituted with a skyrocketing spirit to deliver. Though it is a good idea and which was accepted by over seventy percent of those great minds in attendance, but there is still need for the organisers to making sure that a hard follow up is made on the concerned government authorities if result must be experienced.
